One of the very first questions that you will want to ask yourself is, “Why do I want to trade?” This is a totally legitimate question and one that needs an answer from you.

The first and most obvious answer to this question is usually, “I want to trade to make money”. That answer certainly makes sense to me and to most others as well.

Some may want to trade because they view trading as an intellectual pursuit that will give them an opportunity to flex their “number crunching” abilities.

Others have heard how challenging trading can be and may be sufficiently motivated to take on the challenge.

Whatever your reason happens to be know that trading can be extremely rewarding.

That brings us to another very important question, “What is trading?”
